As a Noordhoek family photographer, there’s something incredibly special about photographing families who are on holiday — relaxed, sun-kissed, and fully present with one another. Recently, I had the joy of capturing a beautiful Joburg family visiting us here in Cape Town for a summer getaway.
They wanted to freeze this sweet season of life — especially the precious moments between their baby and all the doting uncles and aunties. There’s something so heartwarming about watching extended family gather around a little one, soaking up every giggle, cuddle, and tiny milestone.
We planned the session around golden hour in Noordhoek, when the light turns soft and honey-gold. That dreamy sunlight wrapped around them beautifully, creating a warm, glowing backdrop that felt almost magical. The golden hour here truly adds that timeless, beautiful feel to family photographs.
The family made use of my clothing and styling guide, selecting soft, neutral tones and flowing fabrics from my client’s wardrobe. The outfits worked effortlessly against the natural landscape, keeping the focus on connection and love.
